Jhazmin Carter

Jhazmin Carter is a actress, model, and writer who’s works spans stage, screen, and original storytelling. She began acting in middle school and continued through high school before shifting her focus to modeling, believing it would be an easier path into the industry. Though she quickly fell in love with modeling, Jhazmin realized she was beginning to do it for the validation of others, navigating disrespect and challenges that didn’t honor her worth. Choosing growth over comfort, she stepped back and entered a period of isolation that allowed her to reconnect with herself and her purpose. In that stillness, she found clarity: it was time to return to acting. In 2023, she auditioned for The Honeycomb Trilogy and was cast as Ronnie, the lead, which was confirmation from her grandmother Ronnie who was beyond the veil that confirmed she was exactly where she was meant to be. Jhazmin has continued acting and picked back up another skill she started working on in high school, writing. Her skill grows with every project as she has created multiple short films but her newest and biggest accomplishment to date she completed her first full length play INHERITED. An intergenerational piece rooted in the Black southern gothic and black southern folklore.
